We need to advise that today, Thursday the 4th of August, positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in two residents on level 2 at SwanCare Ningana.

RAT testing for all SwanCare Ningana level 2 residents is now underway. We have increased our infection control processes and will be monitoring the situation closely.

As a result, SwanCare Ningana level 2 will now be closed to visitors effective immediately – please refrain from visiting until further notice. Visitation exemptions will be made for end of life and partners in care.

PCR testing is being organised every 72 hours for all SwanCare Ningana level 2 residents and we are acting under the guidance of the Department of Health. All affected residents are isolating and being cared for, with their families being notified of positive results directly.

Visitations to SwanCare Ningana ground floor, level 1, and level 3 can continue with increased infection control measures in place. Visiting hours are 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm Monday to Sunday.

As a reminder, visitors must always keep their masks on and please do not visit if you are feeling unwell. Arrangements for telephonic and video communications with your loved ones can be made by contacting
SwanCare Ningana during reception hours to schedule a time.

All visitors are required to provide a negative RAT test and health screen upon arrival; in addition to following the WA Government’s current level 1 public health and social measures:

• Two visitors permitted per resident per day
• Masks must be worn indoors and outdoors
• Evidence of current COVID-19 and current 2022 flu vaccinations
• Anyone deemed a close contact must not enter a residential aged care centre for 7 days
• Do not attend our aged care centres if symptomatic or feeling unwell

We would like to thank you for your understanding while we manage this COVID-19 outbreak.
