An update to our Visitation Requirements across all SwanCare Residential Aged Care Centres.

7th March 2023

Visitation Requirement Update | SwanCare Residential Aged Care Centres

We are pleased to advise that following a risk review of the current Infection Prevention and Control measures in our SwanCare residential aged care centres, the mandatory use of masks will be ceased in a staged approach. As such, visitors and staff will no longer be required to wear a mask effective from the dates listed below:

  • SwanCare Waminda – Tuesday the 7th of March

  • SwanCare Kingia & Tandara, including Spritz Café  – Tuesday the 14th of March

  • SwanCare Ningana  – Tuesday the 21st of March

Visitors and staff are encouraged to continue to wear a mask should they prefer and can obtain one from SwanCare Waminda reception.

Our opening hours will remain as 9am – 12pm and 2pm – 5pm Monday to Friday until further notice.

The health and safety of our residents and staff remain our priority, therefore we highly encourage all visitors and staff to complete a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) prior to entry. In addition, visitors are still required to adhere to the below visitation requirements:

  • Provide proof of current Influenza and COVID-19 (2 doses) vaccinations prior to entry

  • Complete health screening and sign in using visitor kiosk upon arrival

  • Refrain from visiting if unwell or if you are a close contact of a COVID-19 case

  • If COVID-19 positive, refrain from visiting for at least 7 days and until symptom free

  • Visitors are limited to two people at a time

Please note this planned roll back of the mask mandate is subject to change should the epidemiological situation alter at any of our SwanCare residential aged care centres, as always we will be sure to advise if/when changes occur.

Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation which has allowed us to reach this stage.
