Updated Requirements for Visitors to SwanCare Residential Aged Care Centres

As an organisation, we are continually reviewing processes in order to obtain an optimal balance of safety and wellbeing of our residents.

With that in mind, SwanCare will remove the visitor limit of two people per day and replace it with a maximum of two people at one time. We hope that this change provides more convenience and flexibility to allow our residents to engage with their family and friends more often.

We continue to follow the guidance of The Department of Health and will, at times of increased risk, implement further infection control measures.

Visitors to SwanCare residential aged care centres are required to follow the below requirements:

•    Provide proof of current influenza and COVID-19 (2 doses) vaccinations prior to entry
•    Complete health screening and sign in using visitor kiosk upon arrival
•    Wear masks indoors and outdoors within residential aged care centre grounds
•    Refrain from visiting if unwell or if you are a close contact of a COVID-19 case
•    If COVID-19 positive, refrain from visiting for at least 7 days and until symptom free
•    Visitors are limited to two people at a time
•    Visiting hours are 9am-12pm & 2pm-5pm daily

As communicated on Monday, RAT testing will no longer be mandatory for visitors; however, we encourage you to test yourself if feeling unwell and to follow public health advice, which includes staying home while unwell.
