Following routine PCR testing conducted at SwanCare Ningana yesterday, the 14th of July, 12 additional residents have returned a positive result for COVID-19. All affected residents are isolating, being well cared for, and their families have been notified directly. An additional four staff have also returned positive results and are isolating at home.

PCR testing will continue every 72 hours for residents at SwanCare Ningana levels 1, 2, and 3.

Our COVID-19 Response Team is onsite and we are engaged with our Clinical Infection Control Consultant to assist us in mitigating further spread. In addition, we are liaising with the Department of Health who are looking to provide surge workforce to SwanCare Ningana.

We understand that this is a highly worrying time for everyone involved. We are doing everything within our control to reduce further risk to our residents and staff, and to also provide support to all affected.
