Please be advised that further positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected at SwanCare Ningana level 1. One staff member tested positive on Friday 8th of July and two level 1 residents have returned positive RAT today, the 9th of July. This brings the total number of positive cases in residents to three and two positive cases in staff; therefore, a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared for SwanCare Ningana level 1.

As a result, SwanCare Ningana level 1 will be closed to visitors effective immediately – please refrain from visiting until further notice. Visitation exemptions will be made for end of life and partners in care.

Arrangements for telephonic and video communications with your loved ones can be made by contacting SwanCare Ningana during reception hours to schedule a time.

Visitations to SwanCare Ningana ground floor can continue with increased infection control measures in place. Visiting hours for SwanCare Ningana are 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm Monday to Sunday.

As a reminder, all visitors are required to provide a negative RAT test and health screen upon arrival; in addition to following the WA Government’s current level 1 public health and social measures:
  • Two visitors permitted per resident per day
  • Masks must be worn indoors and outdoors
  • Evidence of current COVID-19 and current 2022 flu vaccinations
  • Anyone deemed a close contact must not enter a residential aged care centre for 7 days
