COVID-19 Outbreak Resolved at SwanCare Waminda

We are pleased to advise that following routine PCR testing on Wednesday 29th of June, no additional COVID-19 cases have been detected in residents. All residents have fully recovered and completed their isolation period; therefore, we can declare the outbreak at SwanCare Waminda as resolved.

SwanCare Waminda is currently undergoing deep cleaning and will reopen to visitors from tomorrow, Saturday the 2nd of July.

We would like to remind everyone that visiting hours are 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm Monday to Sunday. With high numbers of COVID-19 cases still within the community, we request that external outings are limited to medical appointments only.

All visitors to SwanCare must adhere to current public health and social measures. With the health and safety of our staff and residents our main priority, SwanCare will also implement increased infection control measures during times of viral outbreak.

All visitors are required to provide a negative RAT test and health screen upon arrival; in addition to following the WA Government’s current level 1 public health and social measures:
  • Two visitors permitted per resident per day
  • Masks must be worn indoors and outdoors
  • Evidence of current COVID-19 and current 2022 flu vaccinations
  • Anyone deemed a close contact must not enter a residential aged care centre for 7 days
  • Do not attend our aged care centres if symptomatic or feeling unwell
Thank you for your ongoing patience and support while we managed this outbreak.
