Covid-19 updates
An update on the COVID-19 outbreak at SwanCare Ningana.
22nd March 2024
I can confirm one additional resident on Level 1 has returned a positive test result for COVID-19. The affected resident’s family have been notified and the resident is being well taken care of in their room. Two further staff members have also tested positive to COVID-19 and are recovering at home.
Residents are continuing to be be closely monitored for symptoms and tested every 72 hours as required.
Visitations and movement on Level 1 remain restricted to minimise risk and mitigate further spread. Exemptions can be made for end of life and partners in care. Physiotherapy and social engagement activities have been modified to one-on-one and meal tray service will be provided to residents within their rooms across the affected floor. Hairdressing has also been ceased temporarily until further notice.
Visitations can continue to other floors, however, to allow us to best manage the situation, we do request that visits be limited where possible to assist us in managing this outbreak. Arrangements for telephonic and video communications can be made by contacting Ningana during reception hours.
Please be reminded all visitors must adhere to the current health and safety measures as detailed below:
