5th December 2024 | COVID-19 Outbreak declared at SwanCare Tandara Level 1.
5th December 2024
COVID-19 Outbreak Declared at SwanCare Tandara Level 1.
We need to advise that three residents at SwanCare Tandara on Level 1 have returned positive RAT results for COVID-19. The residents’ families and their GP’s have been notified with those residents now being well taken care of in their rooms.
Increased infection control measures have been implemented with all residents being closely monitored and tested as required.
To help us minimise risk and continue mitigating further spread, we would like to ask visits to be limited where possible, particularly to Level 1. All visitors are now required to RAT prior to entry and wear a mask while in the care centre.
To maintain the health and safety of our residents and staff, all visitors are required to respect the infection control measures in place detailed below:
• Complete RAT prior to entry.
• Wear a properly fitted N95 mask while on the affected floors, surgical masks are required elsewhere.
• Complete health screening and sign in using visitor kiosk upon arrival.
• Current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations prior to entry is encouraged.
• Respect all infection prevention and control (IPC) measures in place.
• Refrain from visiting if unwell or if you are a close contact of a COVID-19 case.
• If COVID-19 positive, refrain from visiting for at least 7 days and until symptom free.
• Visitors are limited to two people at a time, from 9am – 7pm daily.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding at this time, and I will be sure to provide further updates where appropriate.
