22nd July 2024 | A COVID-19 Outbreak has been declared at SwanCare Waminda, affecting Level 3.

We need to advise we have a total of two residents on Level 3 who have tested positive to COVID-19. The affected residents’ families have been notified and these residents are being well taken care of in their rooms. Three staff members have also tested positive and are isolating at home until they make a full recovery.
As a result, a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at SwanCare Waminda. Therefore, please be advised the Resident Representatives Meeting scheduled for Wednesday is now postponed. We will advise a new date once confirmed.
To minimise spread, visitations and movement on Level 3 has now been restricted. Exemptions can be made for end of life and partners in care however visitors will be required to complete a RAT prior to entry and wear an N95 mask.
Physiotherapy and social engagement activities will be modified to one-on-one and meal tray service will be provided to residents within their rooms on Level 3, with hairdressing services temporarily cancelled until further notice.
We would like to remind all visitors entering SwanCare Waminda that you must follow the infection control measures in place. This includes completing a RAT prior to entry and ensuring your mask is correctly fitted at all times.
