Covid-19 updates
12th August 2024 | A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at SwanCare Ningana.
12th August 2024
Unfortunately, we need to advise that three residents on the Ground Floor and one resident on Level 3 have returned a positive test result for COVID-19. The affected residents’ families have been notified directly and these residents are being well taken care of in their rooms. As such, a COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at SwanCare Ningana.
To minimise risk and mitigate further spread, we are now restricting visitations and movement across Ground Floor and Level 3. Exemptions can be made for end of life and partners in care. Physiotherapy and social engagement activities have been modified to one-on-one and meal tray service will be provided to affected residents. Hairdressing has also been ceased temporarily until further notice.
Visitations can continue to other floors, however, to allow us to best manage the situation, we do request that visits be limited where possible to allow us to fully assess the risk and mitigate further spread. Arrangements for telephonic and video communications can be made by contacting Ningana during reception hours.
Please be reminded all visitors must adhere to the current health and safety measures as detailed below:
