WA Mental Health Week

WA Mental Health Week
Residential Aged Care

With music having countless health benefits and also being a favourite for our residents, music-related experiences are a popular occurrence on our Social Engagement calendars.

It's Mental Health Week WA and this year's theme focuses on how the mind, body and environment are key factors in overall wellbeing.

At SwanCare, our dedicated team of Social Engagement staff assist in providing our residential aged care residents with activities that ensure their intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs are catered for. Mind, body and environment are all considered when selecting activities to enrich the lives of our residents.

Recently the team at SwanCare Ningana arranged for residents to enjoy a musical performance by the talented Adam Penn.

The show had everyone smiling from ear to ear as residents and staff sung along and tapped their feet to a number of catchy tunes. Adam also included a range of dance styles throughout his dynamic performance, showcasing everything from jazz to salsa!

Photos from the event were posted on our Facebook page here:  Musical Performance at Ningana
