International Women's Day

International Women's Day
Our People

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, political and cultural achievements of women around the world.

SwanCare would like to take a moment today to recognise and celebrate the remarkable women in our community who continue to achieve incredible things. We spoke to some of the women in our team about what this special day means to them.

Sinead McCartan, Chief Financial Officer:
"On a day like today it is important to reflect upon the importance of strong women and their contributions to our economy, businesses, and society as a whole. I am very proud to be a female CFO at the age of 40 in an organisation whose mission is to enrich the lives of those around us."

Natalie Hodi, General Manager Community Living:
"Having a day to celebrate all women and what they offer is important to give us a voice and embrace our uniqueness. International Women’s Day highlights how amazing women can be, and also how we can support each other."

Fiona Millar, General Manager People & Culture:
“As someone that has worked in aged care for over 30 years and has grown as a leader with the assistance of strong and inspiring women leaders, I am proud to work alongside our team and, in my role, assist to develop women within our industry so that they can lead the way and continue to break down barriers for those that are coming along behind us.”

Julie Atkinson, General Manager Health & Aged Care Services:
“I am delighted and proud to recognise all the women I work with at SwanCare. Over the past few years, we have been challenged to protect our families and community in a way we have never experienced before. We supported and guided each other through to where we are now.  Relationships grow and develop by empowering each other to be the best version of ourselves. Happy International Women’s Day!”
