Please join us in congratulating our Feathers winner for July, Zoran Pusaric, SwanCare’s Maintenance Officer. Zoran’s nomination was submitted to acknowledge Zoran’s Compassion in his work:
“While Zoran was helping in the Village, he heard a resident calling out for help. He immediately dropped what he was doing and informed me that a resident may be urgently in need of help. We both went to the unit and could hear the resident calling, and opened her unit to find her collapsed on the floor. We contacted Resident Services who quickly responded and called an ambulance. Thank you, Zoran for always being alert and calm in a time of urgency, and always putting our residents care first and foremost”
Thank you, Zoran for your vigilance and quick-thinking, we are forever thankful for your actions.

His dedication to providing outstanding customer service is greatly valued and reflects positively on the organisation.
Thank you, Ilton for consistently creating a welcoming and positive experience for residents’ families and visitors. Your efforts are truly appreciated! Please keep up the good work!”

“To provide a more inclusive publication for residents with vision impairments, we sought a solution that would enable readers to listen to The Collective rather than rely solely on printed text. When our previous supplier provided a quote that was beyond budget, Sean took on the challenge of finding an alternative solution.
Through his initiative and extensive research, Sean identified suitable resources and a method to develop an accessible audio version of The Collective, complete with chapter navigation that allows residents to easily move between sections or listen to the publication in full.
The impact of Sean’s work has been immediate and meaningful. One resident shared the following feedback: “Tell Sean that he has nailed it this time. I can choose the chapters I want, and the chapters will flow one after the other if I want to read the whole thing. I don’t know if you realise that there are different voices through the chapters. I think this is a great idea and they are pretty good quality so that’s the thing that really counts.”
By introducing this audio option, Sean has helped ensure that residents can access news stories and important updates in a format that better meets their individual needs. His dedication to innovation and inclusion has enhanced the resident experience, helping more people stay informed, engaged and connected with their community. Well done as always Sean!”
Sean you are what many would call a unicorn with all your many creative talents! Thank you for your ongoing efforts and dedication to SwanCare.

“I would like to recognise Rhea Dimalanta and Leidy Ortiz for their outstanding teamwork in creating a personalised travel scrapbook for resident Joan. Rhea thoughtfully developed the idea of documenting Joan’s families extended travel journey through a scrapbook, anticipating that family would continue sending photos and letters throughout the trip. She provided the scrapbook materials and the vision for the project.
Leidy then brought that vision to life by beautifully compiling, decorating and presenting the album with creativity and care. The finished scrapbook became a meaningful keepsake that brought genuine joy to Joan and reflected our commitment to person-centred care. Their collaboration demonstrates how combining creativity, initiative and teamwork can create memorable experiences that positively impact our residents’ wellbeing.
This project is also a wonderful example of the Lifestyle teams ongoing commitment to developing innovative interventions that enhance engagement and quality of life for our residents. Thank you both for your dedication and creativity, and for working together to make such a positive difference.”
We love this idea, and it was executed so well. Your talents bring joy to our residents, and we appreciate everything you do. Thank you, Rhea and Leidy!
