Whistleblower Protection
We are committed to maintaining a culture of integrity, accountability and transparency. We encourage residents, clients, family members, carers, employees, volunteers, contractors and other stakeholders to speak up if they become aware of conduct that may be unlawful, unethical, unsafe or inconsistent with our values.
We support and protect individuals who raise genuine concerns in good faith. Reports can be made confidentially, and we are committed to ensuring that anyone who makes a protected disclosure is treated fairly and protected from victimisation, discrimination or other detrimental conduct. The Aged Care Act includes protections for whistleblowers who report concerns about non-compliance, misconduct or risks to the safety, health or wellbeing of people receiving aged care services.
Our Whistleblower Policy explains:
- who can make a disclosure;
- the types of matters that can be reported;
- how to make a protected disclosure;
- how reports are assessed and investigated;
- confidentiality and privacy protections; and
- the support available to whistleblowers.
