This past week our residential aged care centres received an exciting visit from Mick and his Farmyard on Wheels.

Throughout the afternoon, residents and staff were able to meet, cuddle and feed, a variety of farm animals. These new friends included goats, ducklings, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, even a miniature horse!

“It was beautiful to see how much joy these lovely animals brought to our residents,” said Social Engagement Team Leader, Claudia Becerra, “It helps them to reminisce about their past experiences with animals, like old pets of theirs, and bring back those happy memories. It was a really wonderful morning.”
