When you think of a library you would generally picture a building or room containing collections of books for use or borrowing. 

SwanCare's Library, however, was so much more than just rooms filed with books as evidenced by the attendance and shared memories at our very own Librarian, Penny Felder's retirement party yesterday. Including a surprise visit from her family! 

Penny became SwanCare's Librarian more than 37 years ago and saw the library take on many forms. She spearheaded changes to the borrowing system, but more so, she was a source of recommendations, a wealth of comfort and warmth for our residents throughout this time. So, it’s only fitting that as Penny takes her next steps that the library also retires, taking on a new form as “Community Libraries” throughout the campus, let’s be honest, there’s no replacing Penny.

Thank you for the memories, laughs and many recommendations Penny. We wish you nothing but the best for a very happy retirement!
