On Friday, our residents, staff, family and friends gathered at SwanCare Tandara to celebrate the 100th birthday of much loved residential aged care resident, Peter Tann.

Peter’s extraordinary milestone was commemorated with a birthday party hosted by the Tandara team, where he spent the morning socialising with guests and enjoying a glass of celebratory sparkling. During ‘Happy Birthday’, Peter used his hands to joyfully conduct the choir of singing guests, before blowing out his candles and enjoying a slice to eat. 

Among his array of gifts, Peter proudly received a number of prestigious letters of recognition. This included a Certificate of Congratulations from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, a letter from the Governor-General of Australia, local federal Member of Parliament Zaneta Mascarenhas MP, as well as a letter from none other than His Majesty The King.

It was a true honour to be present for this monumental occasion and we feel extremely fortunate to have Peter, and his family, part of our SwanCare community. Congratulations and Happy Birthday Peter!
