Retirement Living
Residents, their friends and family, and SwanCare staff, all came together to support Cancer Council Australia with a morning tea fundraiser.
A total of 96 retirement living residents, friends, and family, attended our Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event last week. Everyone came together to toast their cups of tea, all in support of Cancer Council Australia.
'Australia's Biggest Morning Tea' is a community event which is celebrated nationwide to raise funds for Cancer Council Australia. All donations go towards investing in cancer research, support, and prevention campaigns.
Everyone enjoyed a hot cuppa over a delicious spread of homemade goodies prepared by fellow residents.
There was plenty of laughter and smiles while residents socialised, but also some meaningful conversations and moments of connection; as the morning tea was an opportunity for us to acknowledge those who are impacted by cancer every single day.
The generous donations have since been counted and the results are in.
We are proud to share our SwanCare community raised a total of $2,295!
A fantastic result which succeeded the amount raised last year, $1,640. All donations will go directly towards funding cancer research, support, and prevention campaigns.
