COVID-19 Update: SwanCare Kingia

We would like to provide you with an update regarding the COVID-19 outbreak at SwanCare Kingia. On December 19th, one positive case was identified on Level 1. The family of the affected resident have been notified and the resident is being well taken care of in their room. One resident located on Ground Floor is still recovering since our last update. All other previously affected residents on SwanCare Kingia's Ground Floor and Level 1 have made a full recovery.

All staff working at SwanCare Kingia will continue completing Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) prior to each shift while regular RAT testing for residents will continue.

To minimise risk and prevent further spread, movement is still restricted across both levels. This includes temporarily ceasing hairdressing services, limiting physiotherapy and social engagement activities to 1:1 and providing meal tray service within residents’ rooms for both Ground Floor and Level 1 residents.

SwanCare Kingia will remain closed to visitors until further notice while our affected residents continue their recovery. Exemptions will be made for end of life and partners in care. Arrangements for telephonic and video communications with your loved ones can be made by contacting SwanCare Kingia reception, 9:00am-12:00pm and 2:00pm and 5:00pm daily, to schedule a time.

All actions have been implemented under the guidance of the Department of Health.

Thank you for your cooperation while we manage this current outbreak, and we will continue providing further updates as required.
