We would like to provide you with an update regarding the COVID-19 outbreak at SwanCare Kingia Level 1.

7th December 2022

COVID-19 Update for SwanCare Kingia

We can confirm that a total of 21 residents have tested positive for COVID-19 on Level 1 and 10 staff have also been affected. The affected residents’ families have been notified and the residents are being well taken care of in their rooms, while the affected staff are recovering at home.

In an effort to minimise further spread, meal tray service in residents’ room will continue, along with 1:1 social engagement and physiotherapy. All staff working in the affected care centre will complete Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) prior to each shift while regular RAT testing for Level 1 residents will continue.

SwanCare Kingia Level 1 remains closed to visitors – please refrain from visiting until further notice. Visitation exemptions will be made for end of life and partners in care. Arrangements for telephonic and video communications with your loved ones can be made by contacting SwanCare Kingia during reception hours to schedule a time.

SwanCare Kingia Ground Floor remains open for visitors; however, all visitors are required to comply with increased infection control protocols and are strongly encouraged to complete a RAT test prior to visiting. RATs will be available at reception during visiting hours.

All visitors are required to health screen upon arrival, wear a mask at all times and not visit if symptomatic or have had COVID-19 within the past 7 days. Visiting hours for SwanCare Kingia Ground Floor are 9am-12pm & 2pm-5pm daily with visitors limited to two people at a time.

All actions have been implemented under the guidance of the Department of Health.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we manage this current outbreak.
