Visitations can resume in time for Christmas at SwanCare Kingia & Tandara
Since our last update on Friday, we are pleased to advise that no new cases of COVID-19 have been detected at SwanCare Tandara and that all residents on Levels 1 and 2 have recovered well. As such, we have completed deep cleaning across affected areas and are now able to resume normal activities just in time for Christmas.
We are also pleased to advise that no new cases of COVID-19 have been detected on the Ground Floor at SwanCare Kingia with all previously infected residents recovering well. Unfortunately, one resident on Level 1 Kingia has recently tested positive for COVID-19. As this resident is being well taken care of in their room, we would like to resume visitations to Level 1 under strict infection control protocols.
We have completed deep cleaning across affected areas and are now able to resume normal activities just in time for Christmas across the Ground Floor at Kingia. Visitors to Level 1 Kingia are welcome, however you will need to continue to complete a RAT prior to entry, wear an N95 mask and abide by other infection control measures in place while on the premise.
I would like to remind families that while visitations and regular activities can resume, COVID-19 and other infections are still prevalent within our local community. Therefore, ensuring you are well prior to visiting is imperative to ensuring the continued wellness of our residents. I ask that you refrain from visiting, or taking your loved one out, should you or anyone in your immediate circle be unwell or symptomatic.
All visitors are required to respect the infection control measures in place detailed below to maintain the health and safety of our residents and staff:
- Complete RAT prior to entry at SwanCare Kingia Level 1.
- Wear a properly fitted N95 mask while on Level 1 Kingia, surgical masks are encouraged elsewhere at Kingia.
- Complete health screening and sign in using visitor kiosk upon arrival at both care centres.
- Current influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations prior to entry is encouraged.
- Respect all infection prevention and control (IPC) measures in place at both care centres.
- Refrain from visiting if unwell, symptomatic or if you are a close contact of a COVID-19 case.
- If COVID-19 positive, refrain from visiting for at least 7 days and until symptom free.
- Visitors are limited to two people at a time, from 9am – 7pm daily.
Thank you for your ongoing support throughout this latest outbreak. I wish you and your family all the best for the holiday season, and a happy, healthy 2025!
